OK Guys, 6'6" U/L Need opinion alconite 25 23" from face of reel spool #16 9 1/2" from that guide- Intersect Guide #6 fly 6" from second guide 4 more #6 flys 5' apart to the tip for a total of 7 guides.
Looks good on static test. Kind of wondering about only 2 single foots and 5 flys. Sure would welcome opinions

Is the drop from a #16 right to #6 flys to fast of a drop?? Should I drop a #10 in there and move the flys closer??

The line path looks good the way it is and the guides line up right on the table edge. Just looks a little odd with a 25 - 16 and 5 #6 flys

If your line path is good then there shouldn't be any problems. If you really want another single foot in there then you could line up the full range of guides on the blank and then pick the ones you want to keep. Just put them all on the line path. Your set up sounds fine to me though.

Sounds good to me. How does it cast? On an UL you probably don't need more than 2 intermediate guides before the intersection guide.

I would play with both set ups. I've only done two concept rods but on both I bought guides I thought would work, then ordered extras because I didn't like spacing I ended up with and found the extra guides I got gave me a much better run than my first choice. Always need an asortment of sizes to get the right mix. .ED..P.S. If you don't have guides of the type your using mix other types to get size you want then order what you need.

One thing I do when setting up the guides is to take the spool of the reel and use the shaft to line with the table edge
