Most of the ads which will promote the TackleWorks site have now been placed. They will begin running in the next few weeks in no less than 15 national sport fishing magazines throughout the US and Canada. This will be ongoing throughout 2002. Due to what I knew would be light use by the fishing public in the early going, I signed on rod builders during the last 2 months at a slightly reduced rate. The normal listing fee will go into effect as of March 1st. Those who would like to get listed at the reduced rate have about a week left to get in under the wire. If you need more info on the site please email me at info@tackleworks.org and I will shoot the information out to you. ....................... Get on board this thing folks

Recieved my first contact off the Tackleworks site last week. Not only that, the guy just lives less than 30 miles away. When Kirkman's new advertisements take off next month, no telling what will happen. I will tell you for a fact that it is the cheapest nationwide advertising that you can get if you are in the repair business. With the price of rods and reels going up every year, more and more people are wanting to salvage their existing equipment. Once you get established, the work will remain as steady as you want it, often more than you want. Re: Get on board this thing folks

Most fishermen who need repair work have no idea where to go to get it done. Most rod repair people and custom rod builders spend a great deal of time with nothing to do. I plan to fix that. By the way, Mike is pretty well known to fishermen in these parts and has been involved in repair and custom rod building on a large scale for what, 15 years or more? When a guy 30 miles away locates him for the first time through the directory, it tends to prove that most of us have never advertised our services as well as we might think. .............
