I am having a problem getting a smooth trim wrap or tie off wrap on fancy butt wraps. Where to start, end, keep one level? Thanks in advance Re: finish wraps

Here are some things that may help: 1. Don't cut all your wrap threads at one time. Cut a few on each revolution of the tie-off thread. This helps to keep you from wrapping over any sort of abrupt edge of multiple threads. 2. Try to slightly spread the cut threads out and around the blank as you wrap over them instead of having them all packed closely together. 3. Make all your tie-off wraps, double wraps. Wrap away from the decorative wrap and when you reach the grip, or on the other end when you reach the desired length, push the thread back onto itself and wrap back to where you started and tie-off there. Properly done, no one will ever know it is a double wrap and it will eliminate much of the lumps, bumps and gaps associated with single tie-off wraps. ...................
