I have just recieved a bottle of Gudebrod C/P and have never used this brand before. It has a mustard bottle type applicator and is of a heavy viscosty. In the past I have always used Clemen`s brand.I am building this rod to take on a Tog trip in three weeks. So far I got all of the underwraps and the but wrap done and want to get a coat of C/P and a thin coat of finish before I wrap the guides.Any advice will be welcomed
Thanks
Jerry

I use it and like it. I thin mine just about 10% or so and put it on wet and let the threads turn completely dark. When the color comes back up that's it! I no longer even bother with a second coat. No problems and pretty bright colors so far.

By the way, you must use alcohol to thin the 811. Water won't do the trick.
