I was just wondering what model Alps printer I should be looking for so that I can make the decals I need. Is is the MD-1000, 1300, or 2010? Thanks. Re: Alps Printer

The 5000 is the 'cadillac',,will do all projects imaginable,,but major bucks ! ($500-700) The 1000 is the most popular choice for rodbuilding applications..expect to shell out $150 -250. The 2010 WILL do all rodbuilders need, plus print nice phptos,,BUT,,you have to 'trick' it to make it print white. I have one of each,& I really prefer the 2010..it cheaper ,too.( I paid $75 for the one I use now) They're designed to run on Win 95/98. The drivers for XP are in the works(ALPS is supposedly sending me the drivers on a CD) The 1300 is a 'dye sub." printer...no good for decals. If anyone needs help with a 2010 /printing white..email me. Re: Alps Printer

I have an MD-1000 and it does a great job on decals. Found it on @#$%& for $125.00. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
