Hello, i'm building a rod and the guy brought over a USC sticker. I've put stickers and labels on rods before but they weren't as thick as this one..... My question is....Can I tack the corners of the sticker down with super glue before I coat over it???? Just to hold it in place?.......Has anyone ever tried this before or do I need to do a tester to see if it will work.....Thanks in advance for any suggestions.......Warren Re: Applying a Sticker

The process that somebody here outline for those stubborn stickers was to put it on and then wrap over it tightly with thread. Leave it in place for a day or two then remove the thread and seal and finish over the sticker. The tension of the thread for a day or two makes the sticker stay "stuck" and conform to the blank. I apply my stickers between 3 and 4 hours after my first coat of finish. (LS2000, 90 degree F drying box) At that point the finish is quite firm but still has some tack to it. A light burnish is all that is required and the sticker is down forever. Haven't had a sticker curl since I started doing it that way. Re: Applying a Sticker

If all else fails super glue will work, use a toothpick to apply very small drop to spots that curl. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
