holograph thread technique

Using the holograph thread, how do you "pack" the threads or align them in the wrap since the stuff is so thin there's no edge? I am trying to do underwraps (by hand) and I am not sure I am aligning them correctly. Is there an overlap or should you TRY to lay them edge to edge?

Wait a pain this stuff is to work with - but worth it in the end. If it overlaps s you go along, it's OK - you'll never notice. When I do it with power, I have to carefully set the tension because the stuff stretches, and if i go to fast, it will wrap over itself like 10 times before I notice. With some practice, you will be better at getting it to lay edge to edge, but every so often it will overlap.

Have fun!! Billy

With proper tension I can get it to lay edge to edge. I power wrap and use a very slow speed while using a spatulat to slightly tap the edges to kind of pack the edges together. With the right tension it will work. Just try going slowly. Practice-Practice-Practice
