I just got two of these blanks, and was looking to make them an all purpose bait rod...whether i pull it out for some dolphin, trolling for stripers/blues, and whaterever else is in that line class...maybe even sailfish! I am new to building, and have problems putting together the right components, so i thought i would ask all the experts how they would set up the rod? I was thinking about using AMTAK guides, and would like to have a all aluminum reel seat? What size guides? type? how many guides? Is it a problem to cut this down to 6'?? etc etc... Please help with any suggestions you might have! Thanks in advance! Justin Sunny Skies Re: Lamiglas CGBT781ML

Justin, I have this blank and will use it for jigging Bass/Blues. Will also use it to fish reefs & wrecks for Blacks, Sea Bas, and Porgies, as well as dragging bait for Fluke. I just have to get a chance to build it first. I built the 841M, 781M, and 2 781L's. I use Fuji guides: BNLGH spiral wrapped starting with a size 20 down to an 8 (I use a 20 - 12 - 10 - 10, 8's out to the tip, maybe about 4-6 size 8's). Personally, I would not use an aluminum seat - rather a Fuji Trigger size 20. Re: Lamiglas CGBT781ML
