My local fly shop told me that the same company that makes Loomis makes Redington, i.e. Shimano. Can someone corroborate this? I've noticed the Nano-Titanium series fly rod looks and feels very similar to a GLX blank--only with special titanium powder mixed in the resin...ooo! It's all in the marketing. Re: Redington

I believe they are mistaken. Loomis rods and blanks are made at the Woodland, WA facility where they have always been made. They also make some rods for Shimano and other companies as well, although these are usually not the same models as what are sold as G.Loomis rods and blanks. Shimano makes and/or has blanks made for their rods at plants overseas. I believe Redington also has their blanks made overseas, although they may buy some domestic blanks as well. .................. mistaken : Redington

Wrong... Lamiglas also makes blanks for Redington. Was told this from a lamiglas employee/rep. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
