I have a customer who I've made 4 pc. 9 ft. GLX 4, 8, & 10 wgts. for. He called last night & wanted me to make him a 6 wgt. He was upset that the blanks were no longer made by G Loomis. First, does anyone have this blank that they would be willing to part with? Second, what would be a good alternative. Dick Re: Glx 6 wgt.

The new IMX "Slate" blanks are supposed to be (according to Gary Loomis) as near to the actions of the GLX as possible. They have the same tapers and a lighter scrim than before. He stated at the Conclave in January that the IMX was more durable than the GLX and now had virtually the same performance & all at a greatly reduced price. Plus, they are available only as an unfinished blank for the Custom Rod Builder. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
