New Concept guide placement

I'm building my second rod now and after reading quite abit about the new concept system decided to give it a try. I have a store rod that has the system and I like the rod. I got a guide kit and it has a spacing chart. My store rod's spacing is not the same as the chart and I've read some that says throw the chart out. Suggestions?

Ray Mud Hole tackle has a good concept guide chart. I believe if you click on Fugi guides in their rod building section you will find it there.

You cannot get the true New Guild Concept System on a store rod or with a spacing chart. The fundementals of the system require that it be set up to fit your particular reel. (Read the July/August 2000 RodMaker for the entire story and how-to.)

You can use the New Concept Guides, but that will not necessarily give you the New Concept System.
