I'm at a point where I'm starting to get some rods out and would like a more profesional logo on my rods. You guys that have been doing this for a while, what sort of name or logo do you use? Is it a good or bad thing to have your name on the rod? Phone number? What about a simple logo with no name. I've got a general idea about what I want but I don't want to limit the future with a poorly thought out design. I was talking to a laid off Enron guy last night that now designs company logos. It got me thinking about what I should do or maybe not do. Any and all opinions are welcome. Thanks, steve Re: logo consideration?

I been toying with this myself, and I have decided to just put a logo, name and e-mail on the sticker. If I had a website, I would use that instead of the e-mail. I am putting my faith in the person I sell to that they can provide any specific info such as address, etc. As I said, I have just decided on this myself, so I don't know how well it will work. Jim will help you along, he has the rod building exp. behind him!! He has been nothing but a pleasure to deal with & I highly reccomend him!! We are doing rods for a site & we include thier web address with their logo on all of the rods done for them. We also had Jim give us our own for our rods we build, he just simply did up a Built by: customrodbuilders.com logo @ 1 1/2" long by @ 1/4" high. Fits nice & gets right to the point! It all depends, some people will tell you they dont fish with billboards, (even though manufactured rods carry a name) some people like it as a way of proving the rod was done custom! If we are doing a top $ CUSTOM rod, we give the customer the option, if we are HAND CRAFTING a rod to sell at a show, it always has our name on it! Good Luck!!
