Strip the adhesive, clean the shaft, pick up some belt sander loops, cut strips, apply contact cement to both paper and shaft, rewrap.

Sorry, read your post to quickly. I've found the Batson recipies to be pretty darn close, but on my centerpins, I'll add a smaller runner at the top end. 11 or 12 is going to work. The 20 is what I start with. Your sliding rings wll impact the guide placement, but with the CP, an inch or two should'nt matter. The key is bend it under load. Try 11 and 12, use what looks best.

Check the Batson website for the IMMCP116M. They should have a recipe for it.

124. Re: Alps guides
Not sure what the 'T' stands for but those guides should work ok. Might be a bit light for 40, but great for 30 down. SS316 stainless, black frame, recessed alum. oxide ring. The T might be titanium....you really need that?

You could also check Batson's website for a "blueprint" for that blank, or call them for suggested guide train info.

Batson's Rainshadow RCKJB 700- 250, 700-325. Deep drop, vertical jiggers. Skinny little things and brutely powerful.

Utmost may still have a couple of good closeout blanks available as well.

"A huge company to be hold up on the line" .Not sure what that means, they have a huge building, fair size parking lot, several small offices and I can count the employees on ten fingers. Good people and very responsive.

Don't know how much bigger the foot is on that reel, but my FinNor Offshore 5500 fits in an Alps tri 18, and that's a pretty big reel to me.

I'd hate to figure how many butt wraps there are in the world that have been sanded and look beautiful, no scratch marks, no highs or lows. Don't be afraid to do it. Ensure that you have enough finish that you won't sand into your thread, use a block and sand carefully. A new coat of finish will even hide sanding evidence from as coarse as 220 paper. Any sanding dust is easily removed with a vacu

Add the Rainshadow RCKJB series to check out. Full build recipes are available on Batson's website as well. One stop shopping.

You shouldn't need hi frames all the way out. Start with double foot V guides for the first three or four, maybe 25 ,16,10 and out with 8's and 7's. . Being that the guides are on the bottom the line won't be touching the blank much anyway, but you could stick to a high frame V single foot for the runners as well. Just watch the placement of the first guides......get the reel if you can....some o

140. Arctos blanks
Stopped by Utmost Enterprises yesterday. They have a ton of Arctos blanks, fly, salmon, spin. Mostly one or two of each type and size. Stupid cheap prices. I looked on the website and they are not listed. Call Carol for what they have.

142. Re: MXN guides
I've used them on some heavy duty saltwater spinners. Very nice guides that work well. Don't think they would be the right guide for anything light. If it's a heavy spinner, think about reversing the stripper, or butt guide. Single foot toward the reel seat. Looks strange, but it works.

Might be easier if you checked the Batson site to see if they have a blurprint for that blank. Or just call them.....good people....good products......good pricing.

146. Re: Fore grip
That grip should fit fine if it is indeed a foregrip. After the butt cap, rear grip and reel seat the blank diameter should be close. Never ream again...see Bill Havens grip installation on utube.

148. Re: Saltwater seats
Check the Alps centra-lock seats from Batson. The 23 and 24 size will fit. Don't know what you mean by reservoir space. The seat should fit as close as possible with the least amount of bushings, be they masking tape, drywall tape or foam arbors.
