All you have to do is turn the uplocking seat around and recess the hidden hood in the fighting butt, and swap the plug for a finish ring for the grip transition

None of those pictured by roger are sufficient to do a butt grip, those are merely at the largest 3/4" square or round. You must seek out the larger Call making blanks that are 1.5" or larger

The Lite is about 20% thinner. The hardner is the same, only the part A resin is different

Tim and Michael have hit the nail on the head installation wise. If one is really careful and does not twist while inserting, you can also apply a very thin line and layer along the area of the insert that will rest in the non gilled area. This can give you a little more contact surface, but I do not feel it is absolutely necessary

Only thing I can add to this, I what happens to your balance point in the back cast, fore cast, line drift in different water conditions, and when you are fighting a fish?

You had better make sure that paint is 100% dry an not just appear to be, as the thread when wrapping will dig into it and you never will get it to pack by trying to slide it. Same thing happens to some individualy when they try to do an overwrap on a guide or other wrap that has a coat of thread finish on it
