Jared,
the S871-2-MHX will fill your needs but only comes in at 7'3". I think this will be more along the line of what you are looking for.

Lee,
I'd take a good look at the MB905-MHX or MB904-MHX, both light weight and balance very well built spinning.

Kurt,
Lamiglas didn't change the model numbers of their blanks until the early 80's. That blank could have been manufactured any time between 1970 and 1980 as the blank facility didn't move from Kent to Woodland until 1981. Being as Lamiglas was initially a blank manufacturer and didn't start building rods until the mid 70's there was from what I had seen only one color scheme on the honey blank

I also agree John, we get customers every day calling because they have a customer wanting a rod built totally out of their knowledge of fishing. While the builds won't vary much in most conditions it often helps to understand what sets each and every type aside from the other.

Rolly,
I have always felt a double foot butt guide is necessary on this type of build.

After 30 years of using finishes which were made to be weighed and finishes which were made to be measured by volume why in the world wouldn't you just go with the simplest method and the method which each manufacturer recommends?

Bill,
It's just the opposite. The castaway version is a 30/8 combination where the ATC version has a 20/5 setup.

Marty,
I have already replied to your question in the inquiry you made on FB. Except in that post you inquired about the P903-MHX not the HM version. Here is the reply I posted there. The only exception is that the HM-P903-MHX is even faster than the P903-MHX.
Marty,
I'm answering this here instead of by email so it may benefit others.
For a flats application such as you suggested in your e

Tony,
I have been using the Nano micros in the setups that are sold in the kits for over 3 years and they have performed excellent. My usage is 100% saltwater and I have no issues at all, on top of the fact that they will weigh 1/3 of a micro with a ceramic ring.

These blanks that you are referencing would be from the 70's maybe into the very early 80's.

Dave,
the two WR blanks are original "Worm Rod" blanks for Bass Fishing. And I'm not sure about the third model. The WR's were built in the 70's and 80's (early).

Bill,
they typically don't release the blanks for sale until the rod line is a year old (if at all).

Harry,
depending upon whether you are side drifting or floating it from a stationary position the 9'6" models are probably the most commonly used for line control. I'd recommend looking at the MHX line and one of these models.

hmmmmmmmmm, no braid I have used floats. This is why I use a mono top shot for top waters so the line will float.

That was all that I could figure but on a factory rod not a blank.
