Mike, I agree it does appear to at least be sourced from Matagi but personally I am not too fond of the way the rubberized cork looks on the end of it (has an unfinished look to it). I much prefer their standard balancer to this one. Tom

Bill, you are indeed correct that the stick that I have from Rich is lower modulas! Love it, but I have to say that I also really like the high modulas version of this as well for certain presentations. You definately hit the nail on the head with flipping!!! No, it is a St. Croix blank. They build their Avid series on these. I use these myself for blades in heavier vegatation in MN or any other place with heavy weed cover. I think that you will really like it if you give it a try. Scott, I have some of the Shikari c563's left at the house if you are interested. I think that I paid 12.00 a piece for them. They are clean, straight and are not seconds. They are clearly marked on the butt in the normal fasion for Shikari, I would also look at the 3c56mf as they have removed some of the power from what they previously were. Tom
