First off let me say that $500.00 is a good budget for a power wrapper. If you want to get the most for your money start looking for estate sales, (there is a 4 day sale going on right now in Forked River,NJ that includes blanks, guides, and thread that I was informed of on Wed. but no time to go.) Next go to tackle shops and ask if they know of anyone that wants to get rid of rodbuilding items.Y

It's called space dyed thread. Not all are spaced evenly, as one color can become a longer wrap. ( as in the photo : red is longer) I can send you a spool but you may have to re-wrap all the guides because the spacing may not be the same. Please email me your decision.

You must stop the BACKLIGHT from entering and reflecting into your eye in order to see beyond the surface of the water. Without wearing wide brimmed head gear sunglasses alone wont be effective. Try it, next time out, bring a bucket hat , cowboy hat , or sombrero and just scan the water only wearing the sunglasses, then put on the hat and scan the same area of water. I bet you'll see a lot more

I would check Hobby- Lobby, Michal's, and any other craft stores for peel n stick labels. I've found Harley-Davidson,Yankees , Mets and others at these stores in the scrap booking isle. They adhere good and look great after a coat of epoxy over them. Give it a shot , you may get lucky.

Available from Canada at too much cost. My only experience with Sniper Skin was about a year ago with a rod that came in for repair. It was a ABU Mike Iccanelly Signature Series rod that had the grips covered with that stuff. Whoever did it, did nice work, the fit was perfect and clean. Ike's rods have that color changing blank finish and the color of the Sniper Skin was rainbow, a really nice m
