Bill, Tony, If I needed side curtains or a cover for a tuna tower, would that be in the back of the store or on the counter next to the bobbers and split shot?

Jim, You will find this when it comes time to repair all of the Ugly Stix. Painted bands of red and yellow at the end of each wrap.Testors model paints in those colors are an exact match. I had a hard time finding a way to get a clean stripe without a smudge or a wiggle. I first tried a small brush which I gave a haircut to a fine point but, it still was too thick so I went to a single strand of

Tony, I agree with your last post 100%. I've been building rods before ELVIS HAS LEFT THE BUILDING (1977) and I just can't stand it when I see a rack of rods in a shop and the shopkeeper says"Those are our CUSTOM RODS".Custom labeled maybe! If you want to make money selling rods, you don't have to sell out of a tackle shop, anyone would be willing to take a percentage of the sale. You l

Rick, At the moment I do not have samples or pictures. I only do this on a needed basis. In the past I have used coins, bottle caps, and buttons from uniforms. At one time I had access to a arbor press which made things effortless.

Pete,Take your caliper and go to a craft store or sewing center and check out the buttons they sell. All you need is the correct OD, then drill out the ID at home. Some really nice finishes in gold, copper, brass, silver. If you would like them to be domed, take a deep socket that matches or comes close to the OD of the button and set the socket standing up on a flat surface. Center the button( suppo

Charles, Take a piece of mason cord about a foot longer than the rod, tie a knot in one end and pass the untied end thru the tip/top down the rod until you get to the butt. Secure the cord tightly with tape or a rubber band to the end of the butt so that the cord runs taut from tip to butt, now mark the cord with a Sharpie where your guides are located, even the placement of your grips & reel

John, That looks like moisture got into your wraps. I see that your guide feet are not fully encapsulated . How well did you fill the tunnels?

Charlie, You and I both know that we used it as a color preserver on thread wraps. Why we stopped using it? Only because the thread color was always a tad darker when it dried. Other then that I had no problems with it. I have a quart on my bench that must be 5 yrs old and its still as clear as water.

Ken, You should hear what my wife has to say about how I keep my shop! Paul,I dont know if its still offered. You might want to call them and ask. Roger, I have NO thread tension problems with this set up however, it makes the back end of the carriage heaver with that one spool alone on it. But it still has NO effect on usage, just feels heavy.

Billy, Will you and the secrets be at Somerset this weekend? (Salt Water Expo) Jim, I think the website is a great idea. As long as Fuji has been around, Its now great to have direct contact to a source for information and to suggest a new product for development.I think its great that Anglers Resource has the open mind to accept the wishes of their consumers. Thank you.

Rick, A good replacement would be a Pac-Bay BSHG-50. Check with Mud Hole or anyone else that sells Pac-Bay, very common guide.

Gabe, Years ago I burnt up a motor on a Rod Smith (Pac-Bay) turning cork. I ordered a motor from Grainger as a replacement but chose the wrong turning direction by a mix up in item number. What I got was a counter clockwise directional motor. That motor # is:Dayton 2M034A HP 1/15 RPM 5000 VOLTS 115. I then called PAC-BAY and got the correct motor. It will mount the same as the motor you have

Lou, Judging by the photo and yardstick the reelseat alone is 5". The 1/2" above that is the ferrule mounted to foregrip. A few drops of KROIL in that section left overnight will do wonders in separating it from the butt. Once you get them apart I will need ID measurements of the seat and if you want the ferrule I can send that too. Is VARMAC ok?

Lou, Your not showing the complete butt in the picture but, if its what I think it is you can remove the reelseat by heating it with a heat gun.Just keep the heat moving all over the seat until its uniformly heated.Using gloves or rags, grab the foregrip with one hand and the butt with the other and twist in opposite directions. Note: Sometimes the reelseat is pinned to the butt/ foregrip .Look f

Mike , I can tell you first hand that just by shrink wrapping the reel in place alone is not a solid mounting. I have done it and the tubing does stretch after awhile. Before you know it, after every cast you have to realign the reel with the guides and when fighting a fish the reel is wobbling on the cork handle. The only sure way to utilize shrink tubing over a reelfoot would be to secure the
