Try using 20# mono and tie a uni knot in it. Leave the tag end ~2". Slide the loop over the blank and guide foot and pull to tighten. This loop allows you to reposition the guide and when the thread reaches the mono just touch it with a razor blade and your done. I make several of these while I watch a sporting event on the TV. If you watch the Dallas Cowboys you will get bored and ti

Just wanted to share my experience with the Batson Team.
Bill,
Just want to let you know about your customer service. Several weeks ago I sent a broken rod to your company for replacement. I called earlier this week to check on its status. The call was answered by a female, don't recall her name, and she stated that John will be out of the office and to try back later, I gav

In the past 2 years I I have had many orders sent to the wrong place, partial orders, missed delivery dates, etc, etc. Today I stopped using them and need your help in finding an alternate supplier with a proven track record. 95. Pre Formed grips
Guys,
I need a good source of pre-formed fore and rear grips for casting rods used on the Texas coast. The rear needs to be 8 to 9" and the fore 2 to 2.5" I need decent quality. If anyone can direct me to a good source let me know.
Thanks and tight lines,

Now for the question. This angler claims that when he takes the line in hand and pitches the lure the line always wraps around the tip. Has anyone had this occur to them or heard of this? Let m

I have a question in reference to guides as well. I see where some guides boast 100% Titanium frames. I am not a metalurgist, but I thought that Titanium was i brittle metal and had to be combined with a stronger alloy to be useful. Anyone have any insight into this claim?

Rob,
Try using 30# Stren Mono . I take a piece about 12" long, tie a Uniknot in the middle and slide on the blank. Place the guide(s) in their proper location and pull tight. As you are wrapping the guide and come to the mono just snip and your done. I use this system for test casting as well. You are able to move the guides as needed and they stay put. I make up several hundred at
