95. Re: rod shipping
Insuring for double the cost won’t get you any extra. You have to supply a receipt and proof of purchase price.

That printer doesn’t use standard ink. It’s a foil tape, not a liquid ink that can be refilled.

All dragon scale wraps should have an over wrap if metallic to get the scale effect. If you use any nylon it won’t come out like it should. Sz D cross wraps underneath and Sz A over wraps are how they should be wrapped.

101. Bill Stevens
Many people here know Bill Stevens and many of the newer guys from the last couple of years probably never heard of him. He was a regular contributor here for many years and was a major proponent of the use of microguides.
I just got news that Bill passed away at 3:15 today after a brief illness. He was one of the most knowledgeable person I knew in this craft. He got out of building about thre

I'm never satisfied with one coat. I always put two on light saltwater or bass rods and even more on offshore or stand up rods. In my opinion the edges look way more refined and straight.

Anyone selling products at a 15% markup sure wouldn't be in business for long.

Rachael and myself would like to thank everyone that came down to our rodbuilders gathering. We had a total of 55 people, including a past Bass Masters Classic Champion, Jack Hains. We hope that everyone had a great time.
We'd also like to give a special thanks to the vendors that graciously took time from their busy schedule to be here with us. Bill Batson and Karry Batson of Batson Enterpri

111. ALPS Power Wrappers
Lately the ALPS power wrappers have been pretty scarce. For anyone that's been waiting for one we have only a couple left. Another shipment shows an arrival date of around the first week of May. Give us a call if interested.

No bushings available for reel seats. If you want some to use as a guide you'll have to make your own. Pen mandrels for the most part are 1/4" diameter. In my opinion too small for a seat insert. You could use it but you have a hard time reaming to fit your blank.
3/8 or larger mandrel would be better to get you closer to the size you need to fit the blank. Even 3/8 is a little small. I

Also , the contact cement has a much higher tolerance to heat than epoxy. So if you choose to ream by power , whether on a lathe or drill, the reamer made with contact cement will last much longer.

I've said it many times before. Contact cement on both parts, heavily applied, let sit for 15 minutes, then spiral up or down your reamer blank. No mess to clean, no clamps or tie off material. Just let the glue cure about a day before use.

Just received my order of carbon inserts for the new Fuji PTS reel seats. Colors available are Gold, Silver, Blue and Natural Gloss Graphite. The seat and insert come unassembled. Just glue the insert into the seat and arbor to fit the blank.
I have a fair amount of seats and the inserts ready to ship.
I'll have them listed on my website in a day or so but if anyone needs to order some ple
