Here are the pictures provided by Marc. Gary's reply in text: ---------------------------- > Marc, > > I've looked at the pictures. > > The first blank is the C602, and it has a very slight curve, nearly 100% of my blanks will have this, and always have. A perfectly straight blank is an exception, and not the rule. I have spoke many times about this, and if casting,

Here is a reply from Gary, also sent to Marc's email. ----------------------------------- Marc, I received a copy of your post to the rodbuilding.org forum from my CEO, Aleks. I find your note incredibly disrespectful. There are folks in this world who would fault a man for selling his company to another, once they are given 18 months to live. There are also those who would also wr

Ron, All, First off, thank you very much for your orders, we appreciate your business very much. We are absolutely overwhelmed with orders over the last two weeks, and especially on Friday/Sat/Sun/Mon. Its "all hands on deck" to pick, pack, ship and we do appreciate the extra patience during the busy ordering season. Best Regards, Aleks

Rob, "Why is the 704 so heavy" The "regular" IM 704 weighs 1.7oz, when you are creating a travel blank, (and this one is 4 pieces) you are adding 3 ferrule sections that need to be properly reinforced. Reinforcing ferrules adds weight. "Why are the models lure ratings so high" Once you add ferrules and re-enforce them, they stiffen the blank up, since one

David, Thanks for your note - I certainly do not think that you are picking on NFC, and I think it is a valid question as to why the stated dimensions vary. "Is it an insurmountable problem?" - No, but here is what goes into that process: Think of pre-preg as a sheet of paper, lets say its an 8.5" x 11". Now imagine that piece of paper comes from the manufacturer with

Matt, The answer to your question is the following: Pre-preg is provided by the manufacturer (Toray/Hexcel/AGY/Mitsubishi etc) with TWO variables. 1) Resin concentration +/- 5% and 2) Fiber concentration +/- 3% This means that from batch to batch / shipment to shipment you may have variance in the number of fibers in a yard wide roll of material and the same thing for the resin content - thi

Michael, If you are talking about order 18870, that has the hybrid blank, some carbon grips, and an X-Ray drop shot blank - that is the same one. However, you did not order a Mirror Black blank, but a regular X-Ray blank, which will have the fine ridges. Also, the order referenced above, 18870 was received on March 10th, during a promotion. The order was sent out on March 23rd, or 9 working

Michael, Can you attach a picture of your “troublesome ridges” on your mirror black blank? Mirror Black X-ray blanks have zero ridges. Also, where did you order it from? We have only ONE record of any order from you, order 18870 on 3/10/22, it did not include a Mirror Black blank. What was your order number so that I can take a look at the order details? Let me know ASAP on the above

Mark, The chemical formula for Oxygen is O2, and it should read that the Atomic number for Carbon is C6. "C6 is the Atomic Number for Carbon, and O2 is the chemical formula for Oxygen, a component of air." Better? We never stated that O2 is representative of pure oxygen, just that its a component of air. I'll leave the other comments unaddressed, because I don't want the men

David, The Modulus relates to the stiffness of a fiber, and has some correlation to its tensile strength. However, for a tube, the compression strength and elongation percentage play a much more important role that just the Modulus (compression is usually measured in MPa) the holy grail is when a fiber has all three (among other properties - some fiber is round, some is oval, which has its own b

Lance, Yes we are - about 30 models in total...the material is on allocation for now, so its being "allocated" to the models that sell more per our internal mix. From what I recall - the stated weight of the PB 73MH is about 2.12oz and for the Medium right at 2oz, which is right in line with our Xray lineup. This is 30% lighter. Its definitely a preference for some people. Size B thread, and you can wrap them just as quickly as those that are smooth. C6 is the chemical formula for Carbon, and O2 is the chemical formula for Oxygen, a component of air. One of our initial testers of the blank provided in his feedback that holding this blank is like holding air – so the name “Carbon Air” stuck. C6O2 is not just a name. Its a new fiber and a new technology that holds the fiber together. Air Carbon is a combination of a pure carbon mesh that

Carl, I would start here and then adjust: Type in "SU" into the search field for Surf. The handle length will determine your overall guide spacing...and to echo Tom, you may want to re-think the guide sizes if you are making a distance blank.
