Why not? What paint/clear do they use?

Has anyone ever done such thing to avoid ordering guides you don't need?
I'm imagining something like a flat piece of plastic with steps for each guide specific to a certain guide model. If that makes sense...
I haven't built many rods so it hasn't been much of a problem for me so far of trying to figure out which guides to use. Not only of ring size, but heights.
I'm trying to build a c

What's the reasoning though? It makes sense to prevent to rod from twisting under heavy loads.

37. Dense EVA grips
I've got 12 inch eva grips I got from a local shop that are super dense and feels very good quality. Not very compressible.
But I would like something a few inches longer since I'm building a vertical jigging rod. It just barely reaches my armpit.
I know GetBit sells 16 inch eva, but I don't know the quality of it. I haven't checked other places.
Any one know where to find really dense e

I'm looking to build a 60# spinning VJ rod for South Florida. I've only build a few light tackle rods.
Is it dumb to build it with single foot guides as opposed to double foot? Mostly just to be different, lighter, less material, less "heavy looking" but serious power.
edit: what size guides would be best suited for jigging? i've settled on Seeker Hercules 60H

This is my first post and I'm looking for opinions on an idea for a rod.
I'm a beginner rod builder. I've done multiple repairs and built a few rods for myself and want to get a little more technical.
I fish mostly in South and Central Florida. Mostly Atlantic side.
This rod I want to use for the surf to cast lures. Doa, yozuri, bucktails, etc. (1/4-3/4 or so?) I'm pairing it with a Qua
