The MicroWave casting guides are a perfect hybrid between a traditional guide train and a micro guide train. This gives us the best of both worlds. A micro or a traditional casting guide train can restrict distance by creating drastic angles from the spool to the first running guide..... Let me explain that further. When the line leaves the spool the line creates a sharp downward trajectory

The casting weights listed are true to the blank…4 sure! On the BP86400, the max lure weight is 400g (14oz) so if you intend to cast that large of lures, I would suggest the 600 model.

Regarding the "inferior products" comment from Don..... American Tackle does not make an upgraded chuck at this time. I am sorry you are having issues with it and I hope the company who makes it would help you out with a replacement. As far as the rheostat not being consistent I would love to help you out...please give me a call.

I personally have built around 50 casting rods using the MIcroWaves in a spiral wrap.... they work great. I feel with the stripper guide ring location being a little higher off the blank it helps to get the line going around blank a little better.

Good morning, I will attempt to answer several points brought up.... *Nanolite is a harder ceramic than Duralite and is made to handle the abuse of today's super braids. That being said Duralite is also a very very strong ceramic and holds up great. *The AirWaves are expected to show up at HQ any day now. They are a ceramic-less version of the MicroWave guides and super light. They utilize

The extra runners are sold to accommodate longer rods so they are sold separate. There is no reason to sell the stripping and transition guides as a stand alone product because they are part of the complete system.
