have used thin plywood 3/64 , 1/32 [ model planes many ply ] it works well to a point when you rotate the handle the color will change some , because of the ply wood angle change in the light but it is not bad , cuts well an sands an glues well, with all glues for handles will not hold the color long [ fades out ] if you want color in the wood ,

scotch Bright should do , mesure , dull it up with the scctch bright pad an go to it , just like every thing else , sand paper will also work , but you can do some dammage if yoi are not very carfull , don'tt nick the blank if you use sand[a[er use fine to dull up the gloss, SID

when all else fails yse VICEGrip need 2 people one hols rod so it don't move use a table an rubber grip put the vice grio on the rod tighten up to a point it is not on the small part but won't go over the large part them push / pull with all your might , then RAP the vice grip with a hammer the sudden jolt will normaly seperate the 2 parts , when you do hit the vice grip it is at the time m

I forgot that scraping the sides is very important when you mix small amounts as you loose some on the sides all the time , but with small amounts it can kill a good batch when small , as you don't have much to start with , the small amount on the side can change the ratio a lot on a small amount mix

I am no cat fish person but there are lots of catfish, from the north east a 10 inch cat is good size , an then go south Tenn, an south , there 10 LB 20 LB an 60 lb plus an some parts of the country you jump in a feel for them so tell us more do you want a broom stick or a light weight ??????????? so more infro please

I am a new builder just like you , what I found out is the coating has to applied fast so get it on as fast as you can stop the motor , get the sages off with a old credit card then start turning the rod with the motor then wait , this works for me , try it on a old broken rod to find out what works for you , some people apply it with a spatchler [ spelling ? ] to get it on fast, sags are w

if you want a larger selection than Lows try a auto parts store they carry a bunch of that stuff , it is used in the car;s to day to hold the plastic parts in place you might have to build up the center part of the blank or cut the plub down to fit { as you need ] a drunnel tool wil help a lot in making it fit

the problem I have with guides is the feet on small rodes, [ thin ] there is a place that makes curved feet guides for the fly rodes .they do cost more but it is worth it to me to have the guide foot fit the rod an not leave a big space under the foot , they are handled by most ofthe dealers that sell fly rod guides, at least the one in the north west an the one in FL.they are only a fly r

fly tip tops are unbraced but they have smell , med , large , & EX large no size , so ti will not help , call up the large supplyers an ask them if they don't have it they will steer you in the right direction

A verable speed drill is great , there is a lot of fokes on this web site that use them [ cheeperthan the other , the reason it is handle upis so you can control the speed an the clamp will not fall off , you can a lot with a hand wraper we use them a lot one of our suporters to the left sell a compleat start up kit look at it an you can do a lot with a saw, hammer, an some felt don't have to

no just spray oil I have never used WD40 lockal hardwear store nothing special about the oil you might even try AUTO /CAR oil cheep an easy to come by an no damage to rod, what have you got to loose take the dip stick out an get a couple of drops an try iy seewhat happends BILL

if you use spray oil let set for a short bit of time then lightly scrape it with your finger nail if it starts to lift off great if not try some thing stronger , the oil works on a lot of that type of problems what have you got to loose let us know if it works Bill
