The C723-MHX has a fast action. Fast action flexes in the upper tip area. That would relate to the upper 1/4th of the blank flexing in the tip area. It does not have flex to the mid-section. Mid-section flex would be moderate action.

The Shooter series would be a excellent choice for what you are describing. They can be built spinning or casting. The Alconite guides would be a very good choice of guides.

Chris - I have customers that have been using the SWB956-Blend-MHX blank with the 10XD lures every since they came out and I've received nothing but positive results. On the other hand, we do have blank model CB968-MHX that will be available around 30 days from now. It was designed specifically for the 10XD crank bait or others of that depth. Lots of new MHX additions coming over the Summer &a

Actually Todd Vivian just brought a blank to mind that I totally forgot about. The HS981-MHX should be a extra fast model that will be what you are looking for. If you want to shorten it, you could take 3 to 4 inches off the butt or the full length will provide distance.

The HI-Mod MHX Popping blanks are much faster than the MHX Popping Blanks. If you are looking for the fastest tip flex of all MHX blanks, that would be the SB-812 or HM-SB812 MHX blanks, which has a extra fast tip.

Hey Bert -- Since the person is talking of tossing the Senko around grass cover, take a look at the SJ902-MHX. It has enough tip to cast the Senko with enough mid and butt power to set the hook and move the Bass from the grass. Also, if you want a bit more overall power in the tip, mid-section and the butt, go with a SJ903-MHX. Even though they are Spin Jig blanks, they build into fantastic c

A-Rig can vary so much in weight, due to the size of jig heads of plastics bodies that are used. You really need to determine the weight of the rigs you are using and go from there. As suggested, a SWB956-Blend-MHX or SWB967-Blend-MHX blanks are fantastic for the rigs, for both casting and retrieving.

Most of the top name Pros that fish the FLW, professional bass fishing circuit, have companies that sponsor them with their rods. FLW stands for Forrest L Wood, the man that started the Ranger Boat Company. The professional bass fishing tournament series was named after Mr Wood. FLW also has many well know fishing tackle companies, boat manufacturers, boat motor companies, corporate businesses

Place about 3 to 4 turns of nylon filament box strapping tape on each foot and then cover with heat shrink tubing that is trimmed just barely beyond the length of the reel foot.

Five, six, seven years or so ago, American Tackle offered blue framed guides with a gold ring. The guides were dis-continued several years back. They have some sizes left in certain frame styles, but making complete sets may be a issue. For model, GZBS, single foot, blue frame with gold ring, they have sizes, 20, 12, 10, 8, 7 & 6. They also have model GZBV, which is a V-frame double foo

Hello Phil -- We have the TKTAG-6J guides that you are looking for. For the TFAT you have listed 6. If you could advise me whether that is the ring or tube size? If it is the tube size, I will need to know the ring size to check inventory or if that is the ring size, I will need to know the tube size for checking our inventory. Thank You

Thank You for your very nice comments of the White MHX Rod Blanks. We will be glad to entertain suggestions of blank models. There is no way possible to offer the white models in every MHX model, as each and every MHX customer has there very own personal preferences, but we enjoy hearing from all of you about product additions. So, if you want blanks added, shoot me a e-mail with suggestions,

If you can find a a ultra-lite to lite fiberglass spinning blank, they make great fly rods for children. They will take a bit more abuse that children seem to offer, than a graphite blank.

If you do not want it to collapse as much, epoxy a sleeve of whatever length you decide, inside of the butt section. That will then reduce the distance the upper section can collapse down inside the butt section and your guide will end up closer to the reel.

SB812-Blend-MHX works great for that particular technique of spinner bait fishing. Two other general purpose blanks that are very versatile for fishing a spinner bait, are the MB843-MHX or a shorter version, MB783-MHX.
