You are correct Tom Kirkman. For those very first GLX Rods or Rod Blanks that were first produced, many years ago, it was suggested to install under wraps for the first 3, 4 or 5 guides, coming down from the tip. This was due to the very thin wall construction.

Actually many years back, there was a man in Nashville, TN. that purchased graphite tubing from me, when I had my business in TN and he had a heating element that slide in the back of the tubing, to create a heated handle. As stated, generally you can place the resin it in the microwave for about 15 seconds or a pan of warm water and it should bring it out. If it does not bring it back for the first 15 seconds, hit it again for 15 seconds. Cooler, damp conditions under 70 degrees is a enemy of Pro Kote. it prefers temps above 70 degrees, even for storage. Basements for the most part are sometimes damp an cooler

Since the Winn Grips have only been around for 3 years or so now in the custom rod building business, we would only have information to relate to, going back just that time span. We have not seen or heard of any issues in the time span that the Winn grips have been offered to the custom market. This could also be a situation that would to relate per angler to angler and how well they take care

Cameron -- We are definately going to need more info. How long of rod? What pound test line is going to be used? I did a Google Search for the Gotcha Lure and there are many different sizes, so info for which size and weight is also going to be needed.
