Hello Denham Bruce - Here is another MHX Rod Blank to consider that is listed in the Elite Pro Series. It is used by many of our Pro Bass Fisherman that tour all over the U.S. fishing large scale events. When needing to down scale for a pitchin or flippin rod, the NEPS90HF-MHX is a proven winner! Very light weight in the hand, plenty of mid and butt power, super sensitive and durable. It is

Many, many years ago before they were the branded "Crankbait Blanks", we used popping rod blanks for cranking rods. The original, true to from popping blank is generally a blank that would have a softer mid and tip flex than a mag bass, that has a powerful butt and mid section with a fast tip. Some finesse bass anglers also like the popping blanks and as Steve Gardner mention, top wa

Per the weight of the lure, here are a couple of softer tip flex rod blank suggestions - & - Then for fast tip type rod blanks - & - Personally I really like the MB843-MHX,

Besides being involved in the custom rod building market, I keep up with the trends in the completed rod market as well. Hello Benjie -- I pulled both the L905-MHX and SW70M-MHX from the bins and checked the tip flex and power for both rod blanks. There is a slight difference in the two. If you want something that is really going to provide a overall stiffer tip flex and more butt power, the SW70MH-MHX is just that. The L844-MHX and L905-MHX blanks that you have already chosen are proven winners as well. We App
