I use prokote if its not warm enough it won't cure 100%. Its a great epoxy but it takes forever to cure. I would say a day and a half in good temp.

I have had good luck with Cp but lately it hasn't gone good. Could it be cause the Cp is getting old? I am using color lock. Can I thin it a bit for better Penetration. So frustrating this is the second strip down.

I am doing 13 ft Centerpin rods Tom so I really like to take my time cause , I have a lot going on. Bill I really struggle with light build on the finishing lines. High build stays where I put it, I find the high build is easier to get smooth results for me. I like to dry at 9 rpm and apply at 18rpm.

Does a high build epoxy exist that has good bubble release and long pot life. I use Flex Coat High Build love the characteristics of the epoxy but, the pot life @#$%& and the bubble release isn't the greatest. Thank you. Ps I hate light builds or even medium ones.

Have a question about the minima4 guides, do you find they coil mono faster and make the mono rough feeling. Also i have the ss304 in chrome and black the number 6 guides seem like one side of the ring is sharp and one is rounded anyone see this thanks

How long has it been drying for maybe you have to mix it better and equal parts. Just apply over top you will be fine

Hi everyone just needed some suggestions with finish. I have been using tape on the ring side anyone have any other idea's when it comes to putting the finish on at high speed. I use cp on the wraps, So no epoxy build's up in front of the guide foot.

It also makes me feel a little better about the guide cutting into the blank. Its like a cushion between the blank and the guide.

80. Re: Cp
Hi brad thank you, I ordered the new stuff from bingham. It's milky and watery, the stuff I have is like a clear gel. I felt the new stuff didn't perform as well

I love it, I used tape a few times and found the guide foot adhesive rocks. You only need a bit and you can move the guides after for adjustment.

83. Cp
Just a question, I Have some old 811 and I love it. I tied the flexcoat and it dries darker then the 811. Anyone no some other cp's that keep the thread close like the 811. Not a solvent based if possible.

Thanks guys, The only issue i have is, i have to use a really thin wood to make the table or the bit won't stick out far enough. Can i move the bit out of the chuck a bit more, or will it affect the perfomance.

Hi everyone, Recently purchased a bull nose bit to mortise reel seats. I have just a plain plunger router. I am trying to figure out a jig to use without having to go out and get a router table. Any suggestion or even pictures of some setup's. Thank you in advance
