1. ALPS MD-1000
My ALPS MD-1000 printer that I use for water slide decals is having issues. It appears that ALPS is no longer in business and I cannot locate anyone that services these printers. Mine is stopping short of printing and displaying paper jam when there is no jam, paper just stops feeding. Any help or ideas are greatly appreciated. Thanks

2. VisualWeave
Those of you familiar with visualweave I have an issue. After many hours preparing my image to create a left list, the left list does not print one of the colors but it does print it in the layers. Is there anyway to correct this without having to start from scratch?

Does anyone know of a source for thread tension magnets, I want to build my own thread carriage using magnets. Mudhole is out of stock until April and I don't want to wait that long. Thanks in advance

6. Re: Decals
Odds are it may very well be the first time for this brand. I keep it in a drawer in a cool space and thought it should last for years. Anyone suggest a certain brand that they prefer?

7. Decals
I have used water slide decals many times in the past with little problems but yesterday I cannot get decal to slide off backing easily and when it does slide it comes off in a messy blob. I have tried different soaking times and does not matter. Decal paper is made by Haynes and is about a year old. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Some of my older volumes got destroyed in a basement flood. I forgot what was used for a mold or any other tips pertaining to the article would be appreciated.
Thanks Tom

10. Wood Hardener
Years back I came across an article that used wood hardener as a casting resin rather than epoxy or polyester. I remember trying it and was very satisfied with the results however it was so long ago I have forgotten the procedure. Can someone refresh my memory or tell me where to find the article.
Thanks

I placed an order August 26, 2022 for one of the new carbon air blanks and have yet to receive it. I tried calling and only get voice mail, tried email and never heard back, not sure what to do.

Thanks guys, the epoxy was not thinned which I never do and set perfectly fine. I can't believe moisture can get thru the epoxy, I used Flexcoat lite which I use on most builds.

20. Milky Crosswrap
I have been building rods for about forty years and have recently been baffled by what happened to a perfectly good crosswrap. This rod sat idle for two months before I used it and one day on a fishing trip took it out of rod locker only to find the wrap milky white like I had just applied cp. Any idea what happened?

I recently was given a rod to repair two broken guides but I can't find these particular guides anywhere. Does anyone know what guides are on a Rapala SNC30DR86L2 Sportsmen Classic Downrigger?

Thanks all for your response. I have contacted Rapala and waiting to hear from them. No American made guide matches these.

27. Dip Pen
For those of you using a dip pen for signatures I would like to know what size nib you are using and a source to get one. Also if you are using Testor paint for ink what is the ratio for diluting. Thanks in advance.
