Butch, the SWB 80 ML might be one of the best all purpose blanks on the planet. Good price point as well.

I use a lot of Sea Guide guides. Mostly heavier boat, spin. My rods fish the mighty Atlantic, year round. Their guides are as good as anything I have seen, by any other mfrg. We are often told that the SIC, Zirconia etc rings are the way to go. The fact is, even a cheaper ring is a very good ring. What few people think about is the frame. Does any one have any old Fenwick butts, or rods? I think the butts were stainless/with brass chrome seats.

you will wrap rods about 3-5 times faster with a Flexcoat rod lathe. It's the best on the market.

typical failure is when the alignment pin, or gimbal spins. I haven't seen one that has "snapped" If one has, you should post a photo.

I had dealt with Bob Batson for many years prior to him starting Batson enterprises. He was a great guy and Bill, Karry and company are continuing a tradition of superb service and products. I buy mostly Eglass blanks for boat rods. There isn't a better blank out there than their "Tuff Stick" line. The TS 70L , the TS 70ML, and TS 70M are the nicest eglass blanks out there. I sell h

As we all know quality rod thread has been scarce over the past year. We are all sorry to hear the Gudebrod's story and it appears that the ;'void' is being filled. I think Pac Bay has done a good job with threads over the past couple of years and I'm happy to see 1 oz threads available through them. It was pleasing to receive an email from my old friend Joe Meehan from American tackle that they

I recommend that you get up to 10-12 rpms minimum. My experience has been that the 18 rpm's work best. I dont like the 6's.

If the hole is too small in relation to the blank I.D. the EVA could split. It does not have the stretch capabilities of hypalon.
