Looking for the following if anyone knows a source. I have had them on order through Mudhole since May. Unfortunately, after contacting AT directly, they shared that they expected to have a shipment to them in early July but apparently they still haven't arrived or they haven't made it to Mudhole yet. I have 7 rods in progress already wrapped with the rest of the guide train so changing guides

And yes, I started down the distributor path on the PacBay website but striking out on the initial searches: GS16SKIC-E, GS17SKIC, GS18SKIC-E Graphite Skeleton w/Cushioned Hoods AJ454-E Single Foot Hook Keepers ACK236-E through ACK512-E Winding Checks A

I am starting to see more butt caps that have a custom designed logo or the name of the rod builder embellished in the end cap of the butt. Mudhole calls it a "Butt Tack" and is black in their "Rubber Butt Cap with Designer Aluminum Trim". Anyone know where I can obtain custom versions of this? I typically do not include my name/logo in my customer builds but this would be a

After scratching my first couple of blanks, I simply use scotch tape the length of the blank to generally where the winding check would be placed. No more scratches while dry fitting the grips.

While I build mostly with carbon fiber grips that I make myself, I have had a couple of clients ask me about Wynn grips and I thought I'd ask you guys a couple of questions: 1) my son works in a golf shop and while he agrees that the Wynn grip are at the high-end of the spectrum, he also has a set of regular golfers that come in each year to have their clubs re-gripped as the Wynn grips break

I am looking for QTY: 3 ALPS AT17-S Trigger Seats. I have had 3 on order since mid-June from one of the suppliers on the left but they have not received any lately. I have 3 builds that I need to complete by the end of the month and looking for other suppliers that may have them in stock. Thanks, Charles

As compared to the 30 to 45 minutes it used to take printing reverse on silver metallic vinyl stock on an ink jet printer, followed by multiple coats of Krylon clear spray and then waiting another day, I literally took three minutes to type in the included software and printed out a beautiful silver metallic decal on a clear background. Applied to the rod and epoxied and it looks beautiful. Bui

Have a quick repair to make on a customer's rod. Looking for a source for Kigan guides specifically a 12 double-foot 3d Z-series Concept. TiCH finish with black ring. Checked suppliers on the left but can't find any on their websites. Emailed Hydra and Swampland but haven't heard back -- probably digging out from ICRBE. Any suggestions?

I built (3) Large Musky (20-50lb) Casting Rods with (3) more to build. Client likes the look/applicability of the Drop Shot Hook Keeper, however, he is using large (12-15") spoons with large hooks and the standard size drop shot hook keeper just won't do. Is there anyone out there that makes an extra large (maybe 3/4") one? Thanks, Charles www.forestlakerodcrafters.com

RodMaker Magazine, Volume 15, Issue 1, Page 38. I have several bamboo trolling rods that I am restoring to as close to original as possible and need to get my hands on some larger-size Tulip Tops (preferably with Agate inserts). Anyone know of any sources for these? Nothing on @#$%& and I have scavanged my vintage rod stock in the past but I have exhausted that supply as well. Probably out

Wondering if others are seeing the same issue and where I might be pointed to purchase from someone that has these IN-STOCK and can ship tomorrow. Need soon to complete a promised build. I was at iCast and actually casted with this guide set. All I can say is that this will differentiate your custom rods from anything else that your customers have seen. Accurate casting, less fatigue, longer distance -- spool up with yellow braid on identical rods/reels (other than the guides) and you will quickly see and feel the difference. Ordering my sets now.

Fred, that I believe was the biggest reason for the failure as the prior guy just used some arbor material and relied on the epoxy and reel seat to provide stiffness which of course didn't work. I just don't like cutting a perfectly good rod blank in half if there is any other way.

I just corrected a St. Croix rod where a "rod builder" had previously "fixed" a spinning reel seat by cutting the blank in the middle of the reel seat, removed the reel seat and then epoxied the two pieces of the blank and a new reel seat back together. This is for a semi-pro Bass Fisherman where sensitivity is of the utmost importance. It ended up being so flexible at the r
