Hello All. I usually make a list all year of things I WANT as compared to what I need (have to have now for a build), and when the show comes around I bring my list. I almost always get everything on the list, and it's ALWAYS cheaper than I bought it off line or from a catalog. Tight Wraps & Tighter Lines.

I would think that the EVA is to soft and if you put epoxy on it you will have problems with air bubbles (not impossible but can be hard to deal with) coming from the foam. If you can get around the softness, if you prime the foam with paint you can get away from the bubbles. Another way to get away from the bubbles is to coat the foam w

Hello Michael. You can use a lot of things depending on the thickness of your blank where you are going to put the X-Wrap. I have used cork tape, EVA, old beat-up cork(gaps filled with glue & dust), cored wood, and even just some rubber cement on larger rods. Then you have stuff you can use under the wrap, like different size cords, I once took burl cork rings and glued them on 1/2"

Hello Russ. I think the article Billy is talking about might be in volume 1 Issue 3 Page 34 called "Surviving The No Fault Warranty" by Tom Kirkman, I also copy the article in the library " •Eliminate Broken Rods - Correct Rod Usage" and give that to the rod purchaser. As for the warranty, I tell them that if the blank mfr will replace the blank I will rebuild for the pr

Hello Christoher. Yes you are right, you can't use that blank for trolling, live bait and pitching large plugs near shore, all on the same blank. The St Croix 2SWC66HF is a good blank for trolling but I would use a Tuff-Butt to keep the weight down a little compared to an aluminum butt. I would also use a roller top or do a spiral wrap. Hello Jon. Did you make your foam in a mold? If you did, did you use a release agent? Did you use a lathe & wood working tools to shape the foam? If you did, what do you put on your tools for anti-corrosion? Did you use any cutting implements to cut your foam or carbon fiber. If you did, what do you put on your cutting implements for anti-corrosion? Do you have the grip
