Customer wants new decal in place of old decal. decal is between rear grip and butt grip. Just wondering what the drawbacks would be to just wrap D thread over old decal, epoxy, and put new decal on top. then epoxy it over. Any help would be appreciated thanks Don.

A guy brought me an old fiberglass surf rod to restore with a name I have never heard of. It's name is Great Fishing Gear with a fish blowing bubbles above the name. I have seen more than my share of fly by night names but this one caught my attention because of the quality of the build and the top notch components used. Can't find anything on the origination of the rod. Has anyone got any info

I am putting new guides on a Castaway rod. cust. wants an extra guide on blank. My question is, what is the best way to clean old guide grooves off blank. Should I sand it off or is there something that will clean it down to the blank.

Has any of you out there ever used Art Resin to finish a rod build? I've used it to finish lures and it works great and is non yellowing. I'm thinking about trying it on a white blank but I want to get your comments first.

Over the last few weeks I built six white rods for customers and one for myself. I used Diamond 2 epoxy over the guides and decals. I have used diamond 2 for years and have no complaints at all, until now. About ten days after applying, the epoxy over the decals has a slight tint of yellow. not easily noticed but still there. My customers have no problem as things stand now. My question is, will
