Hi Alex, Mud Hole still offers the entire line up of Pac-Bay products, they are available at www.mudhole.com. The SSR is a new offering from CRB and does feature a pressed stainless ring similar to the design of the Minima's however they are not Pacific Bay products or vice versa.

Most of the post here have already hit the nail on the head, just my 2c...Biggest change is texture, most cases hand is resting on the reelseat/ reel so the density change is really a non factor (to me at-least). I like the rough grain on the CFX grips, but as many have said if you prefer smoother apply a top coat.
