For those looking for blanks to build Crappie rods on check this blank out from VooDoo rods. I just completed a build on this blank and for me it meets all the criteria I am looking for, length, weight, backbone and price. Thank You VooDoo for putting the time in to develop this blank. Steven

Mudhole sells the CFX laminating epoxy and the CFX Carbon fiber kits but they seem to be out of stock quite often. You may call them and see when they will be back in stock otherwise you will have to buy larger quantities from other suppliers which is what I ended up doing. Im new to the foam core carbon fiber grip building also so please don't stop asking questions. There are a few videos out th

Ok thanks. I did get them to flow but probably already messed up. I added a few drops of water not denatured alcohol. The ink cleans up with water so figured that would work. It did work though and I have finish over it. Thanks again

All the blanks you mentioned will work fine. My favorite and now my friends favorite too is the NFC Xray SJ 683 for vertical jigging walleye in the Mississippi River. My second favorite is the rainshadow RX 8 62ml. This precedes the immortal line.

Im a computer dummy so I have to google how to do everything and follow instructions that are provided. Your pictures may be too large. I have a Mac and I resize my pics by exporting to my desktop. Then I upload the pic from my desk top. I could have used a higher resolution probably with this pic > I just uploaded this to make sure I still knew how. Steve

This has been my go to site along with Toms magazine and DVDs since I started building rods in 2009 as a hobby. Im not computer savvy but I have no problem navigating this site as is. I simply read the instructions. I ahve been to other sites only to be bombarded with pop ups and politics. I always use the sponsors on this forum to purchase blanks and components, no need to use google. Anyway, ju

Tom had a nice article on this very subject just a few issues back in RodMaker magazine. I must say one of the reasons I started building my own rods was so I could build or create custom grips of the length and diameter to my liking. I remember the first 7 foot rod I ever purchased years ago. When I compared it with my other rods I discovered the extra length was mainly in the handle. After 15 y
