Thanks Alex for reaching out to me personally and sending me another conformation and order number. I was fully aware of the 2 to 3 week wait but an error on my part by deleting my conformation email and not being able to log back into the NFC site had me concerned. I believe today is exactly 3 weeks so I guess they will probably ship out tomorrow..lol......really looking forward to trying out th

I purchased an Alps power wrapper last year. Im glad I did because I use it for everything now, applying finish, power wrapping and its a much better hand wrapper than my home made hand wrapper. Im still a little uncoordinated under power though.

Yes, it works great. Its the lighter colored very high density cork very similar to yoga blocks. I also have the 9/10 density dark decoy cork which I have not used. Its much more porous. I do have an old photo in the photo section showing rods I built for my grandkids using decoy cork as the predominant cork. The cork appears a little darker because I also use tru oil on all my grips Steve

The longest I have built is a 10.5 fter. My handles are about the same. I build similar to a fly rod with a very short rear grip and longer fore grip. steve

There is another thread regarding crappie rods but I did not want to hijack so I will start another. I have built crappie rods using the 1084 salmon steelhead blanks with great satisfaction. I like to fish around brush and we typically hook and then flip the fish in the boat. Many folks suggest using a 5wt flyrod blank for crappies. I am totally unfamiliar with flyrod blanks and their action. Are

Pam has not worked well for me. Maybe I don't apply it often enough. Do the Janns Flex lite guides flex and spring back like the REC guides? thanks Steve

Not sure if Billy is up and running again but I bought my sandpaper from him. He sells what you need in various grits already stripped out.

Ok, I re-checked my blanks I had built on previously and I was wrong. They are just like the Pac Bay blanks I just purchased. The tip end is female. I guess I cant trace rod blanks from end to the other in my overhead rod rack....I am sorry for the confusion, but do thank those who explained why it should be that way...........sorry again. Hope everyone has a good time at the expo! Thanks
