Jon, go to my gallery and on page two you should find a picture of the WW two wheel set up. look carefully at the carriage and how the wrapping thread is set up. maybe that will help. Also note that I reverse the polarity on the motor, so it turns away from me. Not necessary if you turn by hand.

Jon, when you look down at your feet do you see your heels? you are making this way more difficult than need be. Turn your lathe around with the head stock on the left and proceed like the rest of the world.

Yes, you can use your Pac Bay Lathe to hold the rod while you weave from left to right. The book should be available from Mudhole, C&M Custom Tackle, 310 Rodworks, Anglers book supply and Anglers workshop.

Think of it this way, if the rod was in a lathe with the Wonder Weaver on it, going from left to right and you swapped ends with the whole thing (pick up the lathe, with the rod in it, and swap ends) it wouldn't have any effect on how the WW was set up just on how you work with it.

Birthday present for my Great Grandson. The 2017 is when the picture was taken. He told me he wanted a real fishing rod not a toy.

92 design threads X 202 wraps, done with #75 Madeira Polyneon over #60. Finished size is a little over 1cm wide and 3cm high but with the same detail as one that finishes at 5cm high using "A" over "D". I think I figured 87 threads to the cm for the #75 and 67 to the cm for the #60.</p

Took a page from Steve Mcleod's stencil weaves and made one of my brother. Not difficult to do and a neat way to personalize a gift rod. The picture shows the original photo, the stencil pattern and the finished weave.

This is like another pair of hands for me when I do trim bands and inlays. It's weight will keep tension on the thread when doing inlays.

I thought this might interest some of you. I call it a Trim Band Bobbin. It holds plenty of thread and will keep tension on the trim thread if you just let it hang when doing an inlay. It's like having an extra pair of hands.

Three new rods. Two for Seeker and one for me. The two color change weaves are Gudebrod NCP "A" over Gudebrod Black "D". The Gold Dragon is Sunset Gold "B" over Gudebrod Black "D".

I got several E-Mails asking to see the finished weave. So for those of you that are interested here it is. Not really a good composite but I'm still learning how to do that.

Guide wrap for the "Duck" rod. It's an Acid Wrapped roller guide. Needs one more coat of finish.

This is the finished weave. I didn't like the original trim bands so I changed them. I think these look much better.
