Roger Wilson, thank you for the cutting board idea, I think I have a few old ones in the garage that I saved for use on the boat. I had planned on making something out of wood if I couldn't find the actual part. Thanks again!!

Thanks Spencer, I think I'll try to rig something. Was hoping there were replacement parts somewhere. Oh well.

Does anyone still sell parts for the Amtak/Pac Bay Power Wrapper? I am looking for the bottom piece of the rod support ( The piece that clamps it to the track)

Used Amtak "X tube" over cork tape on fore grip. Quick grip over 2 layers of cork tape on butt grip.

Here is my first "moderately" complex butwrap. Didn't quite make it a closed wrap. Didn't follow a set pattern, atarted off making a chevron, and made modifications from there.

Hey all, I assume Backlash Tools aren't around anymore, I did a google search. I have one of their tip top supports and I just noticed that the white plastic piece that holds the rod tip is broken off. I thought I'd see if anyone has one that they might be willing to part with. If not I will try to rig something up, but it's always good to ask. thanks, Tony

Last 11'6" rod I built I believe my stripper guide was closer to 32" from the front of the reel seat, but that's with a 2.75" spool diameter. Tape some guides on and static deflect it and test cast it

It's not a bag, but in my travel tube I purchased a couple of yards of fleece blanket material. I take the rods apart and wrap each piece in the fleece until all pieces are covered. Since my travel tube is fairly large, the fleece is longer than the tube. I fold over the ends and put a wrap of double sided velcro on both ends and one in the middle. I've also used rubber bands as well. Maybe i

Michael, here are 2 good articles from the library. Guide spacing and placement. - Static guide placement - What line are you planning to use on the Shimano Ultegra ci4 xib 5500? Braid or Mono? If you are using braid you can start with a 30 or possibly a 25.
