If you stand at your bench and wrap like I do, a higher working surface will be more comfortable. My bench top is 45" tall which allows me to stand erect without leaning forward.Prevents neck and back pain. Also more storage room under the bench.

If after you have achieved all that roger has suggested, wipe all belts and pulleys with alcohol, and then check for some major resistance with the belts off to be sure that all your rod stands are running free. For whatever reason you may have something that is causing your rollers to be binding.

Brian and Bill, thank you for the research on those fly lines. Phil, What you say is TRUE. But , you can't be guaranteed the same quality of every order. What is good now may not be worth didly on the next.

Phil, If things keep going the way they are, YOU wont have a choice. That will be the only fly line available,at an unaffordable price from someone you will have to bribe to get it. Buy American now while you still can.

Run a line through the tip-tops and hang em like a stringer of fish back up in the attic. They'll be ready to go by the time the lake is frozen. If you can put a set in by tension, you can take a set out of em by tension.

Justin, I do two things. I have drilled a hole in a paint mixing stick at the center height of my chuck (with the jaws closed) while resting it on the bed. I now can use the paint mixer anywhere on the bed knowing that as long as the hole is in alignment with the center of the blank, it is level. To keep the blank tight in the jaws of the chuck without crushing the blank, I wrap a rubber band ar

Like Tom said, it's going to take a lot of epoxy to cover even a small jig. Why not do a pen & ink drawing on the blank.

Use the same principle as the backpackers folding tent poles, that have bungee cord inside them. You'll have to get a gaff blank and make CARL ferrules and then insert the bungee cord.

The strongest single foot guide I know of is a FUJI BLBLG, but good luck trying to find them. So, I would suggest you get some BHNOG's and cut one leg off, file smooth, and doctor it up with a little black paint.

Aaron, Tape down a full sheet of 220 sandpaper to a flat surface. Mask off your reelseat edge. With a pencil, mark 8 (eight) equal spaced lines from end to end (like a pizza) begin sanding those lines off until you reach the level of your reelseat, then begin sanding the high spots between the marked areas to the same level.Go lightly as you can quickly destroy your grip if you over do it. You ha

Dave, If you have or can find an old crank type pencil sharpener, insert the glue stick into the sharpener and crank away until there's nothing to hold on to. Empty the shavings into a small container for future use. Now you have granulated hot melt glue that can be applied to any size tip/top, heated and applied to the rod. By the way, all the guys above gave you good advise

If your looking for a true "red" I don't have it, but I do have about 2 dozen burgundy/chestnut colored seats wit chrome hoods and hardware. The best thing you can do is send me the photo to see if I have a match for you. By the way, your contact info is hidden.

Paul, I have Allan seats N.O.S. in the package trigger and spinning. Your choice of sizes are 7/8" or 13/16". Chrome. The 13/16 looks more like a 5/8" I. D. Much smaller than the 7/8" but that's how their marked on the package.

Item HDSPO3 H-D LOGOS #1 from EK Success PO Box 1141 Clinton , NJ 07014 (www.eksuccess.com) Got em from Michles and AC Moore craft stores. Good luck on your search. I found someone that was selling Fender headstock decals online so, if you do a search you my find the same person willing to make Harley decals or is making them.

Brand loyalty is great until you get poked in the eye. How many times have you placed an order to restock your guide bins and be told that guide has been discontinued by the manufacture and your stuck with dead stock. There's rods coming in the door that still have those guides but if you don't have the one it needs what do you do ask the person if he'll accept a substitute.
