Hey Les, Hey Les, After a more detailed review, it will not be exactly like yours. I do not have the 5.5 guide available so will be running the 16-8-6 guide train to size 5 running guides and size 5 tip top. I will also be slightly bastardizing the Fuji concept as I won't be using Fuji guides. I will be using CRB so hopefully that detail won't change the effectiveness of the rod! I have it

I built a rod out of the NFC FW702-1(IM). I have it rigged with #6 mono. I use it for a variety of fishing methods similar to what you are using it for. I would recommend it for you based on the descriptions provided. I think you'll have better sensitivity ro

Hey Rich, Rod and components have provided an excellent fishing experience. I actually think I built the medium kit, but that's irrelevant. For spacing, I used the information that came with the kit and measured to the ring of the guide. It has worked out on the two rods I've built!

Hey folks, I am a novice rod builder and naive to the pros and cons of different blank materials. I believe the rods I am looking to replace a Penn squadron light extra fast 7ft rod with one of similar action. I've settled on two NFC blanks- all purpose fast glass and a classic freshwater xfast blank. I plan to use the rod with a 2500 reel with 6lb mono. Just looking for opinions and info
