I love building surf rods
Many guides that will suit your need at American Tackle like the Ti Forged. I have the MW50s on my 11ft surf running 50lb and 60lb mono leader. They are great, pass a wind-on FG knot no worries.
As for spacings there are basically a couple ways you could do it.
First off mount the grips and seat to where you want and is comfortable for you.

I dont think I'll be building on anything else for my inshore customs anymore. Its an easy choice, Bushido!! so far ive had nothing but great feed back from customers, why would i build on anything else.

TiForged Double foot guides or MW50s with the 12 running guides also handle 60lb braid. Find them on the American Tackle Company site.
