Patrick - I do not use an arbor with that seat as I normally super glue a Fuji WCS check at the top of the barrel (normally a 1/2 size smaller than the seat ID size). I then put my epoxy 6" or so higher than where my seat will sit and rotate it down so that the barrel gets filled with epoxy. David - Your issue was most definitely the CP. There is no need to use CP on black wraps (even with metallic inlays - also why those wraps might have looked a little grey). Raw black nylon will only get darker. What you saw on those G Loomis rods is why the best wraps are with raw nylon & straight epoxy application.

John - The key to using CP on guide wraps is all in the 1st coat. That 1st coat has to be a "flood" coat & make sure all the tunnels are filled before it dries. I will do my 2nd coat 10-15 minutes after the 1st to ensure all tunnels/gaps are completely filled.
