Hello All,
I'm attempting my first baitcast rod build. I'm building on NFC 7'3 X-Ray MH. I am using the Fuji Titianium torzite guides. I have the following sizes guides as I went off the Fuji KR Concept PDF sheet: (1) 10 double foot KW, (1) 5.5 double foot KW, (3) 5.5 KB, (5) 5.5 KT (1) Arowana Tip Top. My question is what should by distances be between the guides? Fuji does have a chart f

I've only wrapped by hand. I am probably 15 rods deep over 6 years but can't justify the cost for the little building that I do. If I was building 20 or 30 a year than I would consider a power wrapper.

Is there any info on the alps guides layout for a spinning rod? I cannot find anything online. I am excited to build on my new 6'10 Med Rainshadow Immortal blank, and was thinking about doing a guide layout with Alps instead of Fuji. I have done the KR concept layout and followed their resource and everything was perfect. I have a new alps reel seat and wanted to stick with alps guides. Any

Thanks. I will add one and adjust accordingly. I can't wait to get this done!
I double checked and I am using a 6L not a 6H.

Halfway through my build and I have the setup from the KR placement. Reduction train looks and functions perfectly. Before I wrap my running guides I want to make sure one thing is correct.
***Should the distance between my running guides be longer than the distance from my 3rd stripper to the choke guide?
The distance from my 3rd stripper to the choke guide (6H - 5KB) is 4.59".

I a building a 6’6 spinning rod. I guess I’m just looking for a standard size. Would 5.5‘s work in that set up, or should I go with 6’s. I guess I’m just looking for an average size that would work. I’m not building a specialty rod.

Hi Mike,
According to the software its lists the following
20H, 10H, 6L
Then is lists 4 running guides but does not mention what types or sizes. Am I missing something? How did you know KB and KT were running guides? I am confused lol. If I go with the following will this suffice?
5.5 KB
5.5KB
5 KT
5 KT
5 TIP TOP
Thanks again for the help

Hello everyone! I'm new to the forum. I am currently building my first spinning rod after numerous fly rods.
I like the Fuji BCKLAG guides however they are only in the larger sizes such as 12 through 25. What guides and tip top compliment the BCKLAG so I can get sizes 8,7, and 6 for the upper end of the rod.? All help is much appreciated.
Thanks
Josh
