Topic said it all. I was wrapping a big fiberglass gaff and loosened up the jaws in my alps wrapper a little too much and they all fell out. They are numbered 1-3 and seem to each be configured slightly different. This tell me there is probably a specific way to put them back in. I've looked all over the net trying to find and answer. Anyone dealt with this before?

Hello everyone. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer. I'm building a nearshore spinning rig -- king mackerel, cobia and big black drum. I have a Saragosa 8000 SW (the new model) and a Phoenix PSW700M. How would you go about determining how long to build the rear grip/reel seat placement? Based on some comparable rods I have seen, a 12" rear grip seems to be pretty standard. Tha

New rod builder here with a couple of questions...
I'm building a rod with an Alps skeleton seat. What are folks using on the grip side of the barrel to close it offl? I know fuji has the WCS winding checks for their barrels, but does Alps have anything similar to self-center and fit flush to the OD of their barrel? The aluminum winding checks don't have a self centering edge and don't fit

Wanted a recommendation for another blank. I have 2 smaller reels that I'd like to spool with braid (then mono topshot) and use them with hard lures while slow trolling (Russelure or Rapala X-Rap Magnum) or to use on the bott

Yeah, I put a gimbal on there for the ride out. I have gimbal covers with rounded ends for fishing time. I don't know if this makes sense but I usually hold the rod under my arm while waiting for a bite but the butt on my hip when I get bit. So I was thinking of going to more like a 13" rear with a 6 to 8" front.

Hello all. First post here. Do you have a recommended length for the rear grip on a light rod (spiral wrap with conventional reel)? What about front? I was originally planning on keeping it the same as a live bait/slow trolling rod with aluminum gimbal > 10.5" hypalon > aluminum reel seat uplocking > 8" foregrip. I started tucking it under my arm and the rear seemed a litt
