First off, you all are fantastic thank you for the information. I put it all together and measured out to be about 1/4 inch longer than 9ft. Never accounted for the ferrules over lap.. I am definitely doing a static test before epoxy just wanted a starting point. As for guides I went with snake brand snake guides From the tip top the first 4 are 1/0 light wire 5 and 6 are sz 1 lig

Thanks for the reply…. It is only for the first 3 sections of a 4 piece when I get back home I will measure each section

4. Cts affinity x 4wt build ?

Hi all I was about to lay out the guide spacing on the first 3 sections put together. I noticed the cts is about 1 inch longer than my other 9ft blanks for the same sections is that something I need to worry about? It is my first fly rod build. I was going to use the sage x 9ft 4wt spacing listed on the sage website .. any advice is greatly appreciated

Hi Mark, Thanks for your insight. Was thinking that in case I could not find something. One suggestion I received was to use the batson fbwc and from what I saw on line it seems to be what I am looking for.

Hey.... I am looking for advise, I am building a rod and will use the Fuji pts reelseat with hidden thread. My question is.... what would be the best way to seal the gap in the front between the barrel and blank. Would a winding check work?

Hi, Thanks for the reply, the location on the blank were I am planning to put the seat is between 10.5 and 11 mm depending on how long I want the handle. So I am trying to avoid the exposed blank route.
