1. Re: Ice Rods
Sportsmens Direct and V Line Custom Rods also carry a variety of ice blanks. As far as guides, I use a Pac Bay minima for the stripper and single foot fly guides for the rest.

Mine has worked flawlessly for the year that I've had it so far.

Check out the following link for some discussion:
I use Sportsmens Direct, VLine Custom Rods and @#$%& for most of my ice blank orders.
Anything specific you are looking for or wanting to inquire about?

Thanks for the input everyone! I hadn't thought of looking at Salmon/Steelhead series rods which is why I was having trouble locating a blank like that in my initial search. I really appreciate all of your suggestions and helping me out! It's looking like either the Rainshadow HS1021F or the MHX ST1023F would fit for what the customer is seeking.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a 8.5', medium, extra fast or fast action blank? A potential customer has requested an estimate on this and says he will be using it for pulling crawlers and leeches for walleyes. I'm not having any luck finding much of anything in that length so thought I'd ask and see if there's a blank I haven't thought of.

Spencer, thanks for the suggestion, I looked at Mud Hole and Anglers Workshop but don't see that blank available anymore. I would prefer to order from either of those two places or Get Bit to take advantage of my wholesale accounts.

Roger, thanks for your suggestions and input. Maybe I will consider going with the REV62ML.
The reason for the fore grip would be how I prefer to hold the rod. I hold the rod with my hand completely in front of the reel, my pinky and ring finger are on the front hood of the reel seat (my reel seat would be up locking), not sure why, that's just how I've always held it. I know my friends ho

Long time lurker, first time poster. I'm looking at building a 5'9" vertical jigging rod for walleyes for myself and two guys I spend most of my time on the water with. I've read through many pages using the search function on here and I think I've made my mind up on the Rainshadow IMMW62MXF. I say I think, because I'm not 100% sure and was looking for some feedback from the great builder
