Maybe a Medium or Medium-Light power salmon/steelhead blank? That would give you a little more backbone. -Chase

If you are looking to stick with MHX, their Elite-X and Elite Pro freshwater rods might work. Look at some of the medium heavy models like, NEPS86MHF-MHX and NMB843-MHX. About twice the cost of the L902, but they are lighter, more sensitive and still maintain similar specs on power and lure weight.... don't let the freshwater/saltwater label limit you! So i think this question has been asked before, but.... Where can you find a 14-16ft crappie rod blank? I've built a few 8-10 footers, but need to build some longer ones. Maybe its not worth my time since most guys are just using $50-$75 rods off the shelf.... I saw Get Bit Outdoors is making a 12ft one so I might try that, but really am looking for 14-16. Thanks! Hey guys, I was wondering what everyone uses to glue their tiptops on? Do you use tip top cement or just any adhesive/glue? I've used a couple different outdoor/marine adhesives from the hardware store that i had lying around and they seem to work fine. Any issues or concerns with certain products? Thanks! -Chase
