Do not know but looked for a ML walleye rod myself. I wish he would list the rods like everyone else, model, length then power. Some rods he only has 3 or 4 actions when I am looking for a 2.

That SJ843 is going to be to heavy for what you want it for. I built on a SJ842 and the ratings compared to St Croix of same ratings the MHX was stiffer/heavier I want to say. I like the Batson REVCB70M-SB orREVS72M-SB

I build 200 Ice rods a year and have tried all the ice blanks out there. My favs are Bass Khang and V-line. Both sell solid carbon and glass noodle blanks. The come 36" long so you can do outside rods at that length or cut them down to what ever you want. They both sell guides and handles. Any questions let me know

Sounds good to me, some people start out with a 20 but the other half start with a 16. It would depend on the reel size anything bigger then then a 2500/3000 I would use a 20L

Your not going to be able to find what your looking off the shelf, your looking for a custom rod builder that will build you a rod with your handle. I do not know if anyone will build you a rod with no handle, well they might but it will be the same cost as having one build with a handle $80-$120

In Minnesota most all rod builders here use recoil or fly guides, so the tip top is one of those wrapped on the tip. Thorn Brothers uses Fuji guide sets on there outside rods, again with a single foot guide wrapped on the tip. The recoil/fly work the best because if they ice up, you just have to touch them and the ice falls off. I like a size 3 or 4 fly or size 6 Fuji on a outdoor ice rod tip.

I move the epoxy right before it starts to get tacky to get rid of any footballing, also 2 lights coats helps vs one thick coat.

What you want is a UL mag blank, has a thick butt and stays stiff up most of the blank but has a UL tip section. Get Bit has one for get the model # something like a 701 but it comes longer then 7' also, this is in there Liberty line I believe. Check it out

I do lots of 7' spinning rods as a walleye guy we use that set up a lot. I start with a 20H,10H or 16H, 8H then a 6m to 6 or 5 running. I place the guides based off the Rainshadow spacing chart for a similar rod specs. Then fine adjust the first 3 guides till I get a bulls eye and static test the running guides to get a nice curve. I used to get geeky on the numbers but if I get a nice bulls eye

We do a lot of walleye fishing here in Minnesota and I build my walleye trolling rods on the RX7 crankbait blanks, the REVCB70M is what I would use in your case.

I have some lower line spinning rods that have the cone of flight guide sets, that have trains like 25,20,16, 12,8,8 tip top. Many older rods have weird/big guide sets that have worked for years. While the Fuji KR concept train is nice not every rod needs to follow this.

Ream the inside to fit the butt end of your blank, then glue the end on the butt cork and then turn and sand the whole butt , install when done.
