Hey Guys,
I just inherited 2 4 pc(spigot ferrules) 105" custom Fenwick salmon rods along with 5 or 6 other Fenwick salmon rods. There are no model numbers on these. I am thinking they go back to the mid 80s. Anybody have an idea of what blank these might be built on? Both appear unused.

4. Diamondback
Hey Guys,
I just came across a huge lot of Diamondback blanks. Easily over 100 blanks, mostly spigot ferrule, but most with no markings. Trying to match up butts/tips. Anybody have an old blank catalog that I can use to come up with series and wt info? Maybe these were left when the business closed down, maybe seconds, no idea.
Any info is appreciated.

No, they may not have been Clemens blanks but were part of a large lot. Thanks for the info.
Pretty sure that Lami made a line of blanks with the same specs as Lami GLB for Clemens. I remember comparing GLB841M with the Clemens version way back and they appeared to be the same blank, less the Lami warranty.

Thanks guys. they had me fooled, seemed very similar to Lami graphite. Could you also check this number for a 7' blank - 4-91? Thanks so much.

Hey Guys,
I just came into a number of old dale Clemens blanks. I have 2 versions of 7' graphite rods with a bit of a spiral finish. I think these may have been made by Shakespeare. No numbers on them. I also have (2) 81-51-03 and (1) 81-71-02. Pretty sure these were made by Lami. I am guessing that "81" is for graphite, the 5 and 7 are length in ft. I would say the 5' blanks are ult

Thank you Mark!
The 10' must be an LB 1206. I have a yellow LB 1206 and it is very similar.
Still not positive what the brown 8' blanks would be. These seem a bit faster action than most LB blanks.

12. Fenwick Blank ID
Hey Guys,
I have a few old fenwick blanks, new in wrappers, but the model numbers have faded from the tags and there is no info stamped on the blanks. They are both chestnut.
8', 1" butt, 5.5 tip - thinking LB965 or 966?
10' 1" butt, 6.5 tip - thinking LB1205 or may be a surf blank.
Appreciate any help. Thanks guys.

Hey Guys,
I just came into a bunch of old blanks(140 of them...fenwick, sabre, lami) and a ton of guides. I have a bunch of braced and unbraced chromed wire guides and I am trying to match them up into sets. Some of the guides sit a little higher and have a longer foot than the others. My guess is that the longer foot is a Perfection guide as they match up well to some perfection AO guides tha

Anybody ever seen one of these? Guessing it was a very short production run. 7' spinning rod, graphite butt, white glass tip, sections are mated, not a 2pc.

Thanks for your comments. Unfortunately the residue did not disappear but the good news is it adds another rod to my collection;)

Hey guys,
New member here and I am sure this has probably been asked and answered, but does anyone know the reason for white residue left on wraps after color preserver and is there any way to fix it before applying finish? I may have gone a little heavy on it but I have not had this issue before. Thanks in advance.
