Hi Trung, I used to live in the SF Bay area and did a lot of sturgeon fishing on SF bay and built a lot of rods for friends to fish for those monsters. The favorite blanks were either the Calstar 270 or the 870. Maybe look at Rodgeeks saltwater boat rod series SWB70MF or SWB70MHF.

Thx Tom, Most of the time the cast will be gentle lob so not to strip the bait off the hook. For large trout here in Nor Cal drifting a nightcrawler is the way to go (which is the way thru out the country). Pat

What I found to work is once you got it close to the finish diameter while turning, move up to a 400-600 grit paper(of course use a flat block). The key to the foam is to get it hot enough by friction to cut thru the foam and barely sand the cork. Pat

Hi Art- That's the conditions I'm always fishing in the fall. Water low, clear and the air temp is usually on the warm side. I was hoping with the braided line's smaller dia ( and lo-vis green color) that would be able to get a #3 spinner down deep to the fish ( without clamping split shot) and not having the braided line spook the fish.
