Has anybody ever used cui blanks? I can't find any recent data on them. The only info that I can find is a couple stores on the gulf coast sell them. Their 2pc long blanks have my interest.

I have a 9 foot 6 surf blank I bought from mudhole a few years ago. The PN is GSB1147F but the only information I can find, even emailing mudhole, is that it is a Surf, Bar & Bait Blank - 9'6" 1pc 12-25 lb. I am trying to build this up for tailrace and surf fishing but cannot remember the lure/bait weight range. the measurements on the blank are .710 butt .610 @ 21" .530 @ 3

In Georgia out regulation is this. "It is unlawful to take in one day or to possess at any one time, except at a residence or commercial storage facility, more than the daily creel limit for each species." You stay fishing for multiple days and keep limits each day with out having to go home to store fish. I do wonder how this effects camping. I will have to contact my DNR.

I need to finish up a project spinning rod that is being built on a 7' 6" Ml MHXL902 blank. using a 1500 or 2000 size reel. I am going to use minima SV guides. The train that I am thinking of is 25 16 12 10 8 8 8 8 top. I am not used to doing a longer rod like this. Rod will be for throwing small jigs (1/4 oz) plastics and popping corks. Any help will be appreciated. thanks,

I reamed t ok a dry fit. But it was a snug fit in the area that split. Would a more liquid epoxy be beneficial in this situation?

I was reaming out a cork grip for a rod that has a lot larger diameter than I am used to. I knew it was a little thin so I was being careful while reaming. When I was about done sliding the grip over the epoxy (propaste) the cork split and it started to ooze out under the pressure. Do you guys follow any rules of thumb about minimum cork wall thickness? I would say this rod had about .060 of

My patterns are not coming out on the crisper side of things. They tend to run together , still looking nice, but it is not the effect I am wanting. Do you let the rod finish set up a little before doing the marbling, to keep the design crisper? I am using regular prokote. Thanks

I am building a couple 30-50 pound blanks for use with spinning reels and I am having a helluva time figuring out the reel seat portion of the build. Can you use the heavy duty reel seats like the aluminum ones for spinning reels? Or is there a source for heavy duty spinning reel seats?

What position do you guys store your blanks while they are waiting to be built? I would like to set up my rod building room to store them horizontally but I am worried about the rods developing a bow in them if they are only supported on a few locations instead of fully supported. Thanks
